The Company
Our house was built in the mid-twentieth century, but the history of the hill is rooted in the past of the nearby town: Badia a Passignano.
L’importanza del monastero è documentata in molti testi, ora custoditi nell’Archivio di Stato di Firenze, che danno notizia dei vigneti di Sangiovese Inside the property a small hermit cell was found overlooking the vineyards. It was discovered soon that where the monks from the near town came there retire spiritually; today, after numerous restoration works, this cell has become a graceful and suggestive consecrated chapel.
The Villa was born in the early twentieth century as a country residence of a Florentine gentleman. Years went by and in 1974 it was bought by Carlo Pacini. The passion for nature and sensibility towards the territory have meant that two generations have followed with a great desire to create a special wine. With these assumptions, the company has grown by expanding its corporate body which today covers approximately 25 hectares divided into vineyards, olive groves, and woods.
